I want my readers to feel the passion in my books that I felt when I

Black Angle Publishers was formed
in October 2007 by
L.A. Smith and Ayanna
Hawkins. It was the most cost effective way to
have our works published and by doing so we
could cut out the middle man. It made sense to
do this ourselves because it was truely in both
our hearts to be published. Black Angle
Publishers is the parent company to Black Angle
Erotica, Black Angle Romance, Black Angle Urban,
and Black Angle Soap. The company is registered
in the State of Maryland. Black Angle Erotica
and Black Angle Romance released its first two
titles in 2008. Both "Room Service" and
"Rendezvous" are the first two anthology and
will be published by Black Angle Erotica.

grow up and was reading and writing a part of your life? Who were
your earliest influences and why?
L.A. Smith: I grew up in DC but later,
my family moved to Maryland. Writing was always apart of my life.
My brother influenced me earlier by showing me that you can do
whatever you want. He taught himself to read and write music and I
admired that about him.

L.A. Smith: I write because I have to.
Writing is what makes me happy.

your new book Tattered Obsessions.
L.A. Smith: "Tattered Obsessions" picks
up where "Making Love Last" left us. The characters continue their

story.
Books-and-Authors.net:If Hollywood
called today and asked you to cast Tattered Obsessions who would
you cast and why?
L.A. Smith:
Moore is the perfect DaRon because of his caring but
strong demeanor. Will Smith for his leadership role makes a good fit
for Chance and Gary Dourdan for Taleed because of his piercing eyes
and his mysterious behavior.
L.A.
Smith: Terrance Howard because as I developed the character KC, his
suave personality made him perfect for the part. Shamar
