The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy deals with the domestic terrorists that are lurking within the United States. While other stories deal with attacks from outside our borders, this story focuses on one fanatical CEO who wants power, knows America’s weaknesses, and understands how to disrupt the financial health of the United States. His goal is to build enough wealth to build his army of mercenaries who are ready to over throw the United States.

STEVE JAFFE

Steve Jaffe, calls himself a "weaver of tales", inserting his passion and experience into every story he writes. He had spent eleven years working in the oil industry and twenty-one years as an insurance agent. Since 2000, he has been on over ninety radio and TV stations across the United States and Canada, lectured in San Diego, promoting his five non-fiction books in his Mind Diet Series. You can find out more about these books at: www.minddiet.com.

Steve lives in Palm Desert, California with his wife, Nancy, of fifteen years, and enjoys the relaxing lifestyle that the desert has to offer. He will soon be introducing his second novel, Children With Invisible Faces.

About the Book: While the United States is chasing terrorists around the globe, an evil domestic terrorist, wearing an Armani suit, is building an army of Southern Patriots. A new Third Reich led by Charles Stone, president of Silver Hawk Insurance Company, is keeping the California Attorney General, Sam Collins, off-balance in litigation, hoping to distract him long enough to put his plan into place. When Sam Collins teams up with his college sweetheart, FBI Special Agent Tiffany Glass, the larger conspiracy is discovered and it becomes a race against time to stop Charles Stone. After numerous attempts on Collins life, and the brutal attempted murder of agent Glass, a deadly game is being played out in the California Senate and at Haven House, the home of Charles Stone and the future symbol of the New Confederate States of America. The North is being left to Stone's Muslim terrorist fanatics that want to see America and all Infidels destroyed and in ashes. When Collins and Glass discover that there are men loyal to Charles Stone and his cause within the highest ranks of the current administration as well as congress, he no longer knows whom to trust. Collins and Glass get help from a retired SEAL Commander and his team, but it is not until an assassination attempt on America's first Black president and a savage battle at Haven House, that the fate of the United States be determined. Greed and power has been part of capitalism for decades, but what Charles Stones ends up accomplishing could destroy the entire financial and emotional structure of the United States and change democracy forever.

Books-And-Authors.net: Where did you grow up and was reading and writing a part of your life? Who were your earliest influences and why?

Steve Jaffe: I was born in New York, and moved to Southern California at the age of twelve. I read a lot growing up, mostly the Hardy Boys and biographies until High School. In College my reading of books centered around all the requirements for my English and Literature courses. My earliest influences were my parents who loved to read and it rubbed off on me.

Books-And-Authors.net: Why do you write?

Steve Jaffe: Today I write for pure relaxation. Although, I have published five self-help books dealing with stress, writing fiction is my passion. I have a lot of stories floating inside my head and want to weave those tales for the enjoyment of my readers.

Books-And-Authors.net:  Briefly discuss your new The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy. How is your book different from other action-adventure plots that deal with terrorism?

Steve Jaffe: The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy deals with the domestic terrorists that are lurking within the United States. While other stories deal with attacks from outside our borders, this story focuses on one fanatical CEO who wants power, knows America’s weaknesses, and understands how to disrupt the financial health of the United States. His goal is to build enough wealth to build his army of mercenaries who are ready to over throw the United States.

Books-And-Authors.net:  Who is Charles Stone? And how is his character different from other villains/terrorists in fiction? Who is FBI special agent Tiffany Glass?

Steve Jaffe: Charles Stone is a blending of four actual corporate executives I knew while working within the Oil Industry and the Insurance Industry. I believe that even today with all the corruption we see on the news, most of those men are the “non-fictional Charles Stone”. While Tiffany Glass is a main character of the story, it is Sam Collins, who is the protagonist that keeps the story moving. He is the driving force that uncovers the conspiracy that is looming and ready to destroy the United States.

Books-And-Authors.net:  The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy, is being promoted as “mixes fact with fiction”. Explain?

Steve Jaffe: While the corruption and corporate greed written about in the novel is true, it had to be fictionalized so that this story could be told. There still are thousands of White Supremacists hoping to over throw our government, as well as corporate executives within the oil and insurance industry ripping off their customers for their own personal agendas.

The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy would make a very good feature film – If Hollywood called and asked you to cast your novel, who would you select and why? That’s a good question, as I have a lot of favorite actors that could fill the roles of Sam Collins, Tiffany Glass, and Charles Stone. But if Hollywood did actually come knocking, I would leave that up to them.

Books-And-Authors.net:  Is The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy your first novel? What did you learn writing The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy?

Steve Jaffe: This a re-write of my first novel that was published in 1999 under a different title. The original story had America’s first Black President, domestic terrorism on the rise, and an economy almost in ruins. There were States that wanted to secede and become their own sovereign country. It was too unbelievable a story then, but now it is right on point. So I had to bring this story up-to-date. I also created the outline that will follow up The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy. In 2010 the next follow-up book will be: The Haven House Chronicles – The Trumpet of Jericho.
What do you hope to achieve with The Haven House Chronicles – The Conspiracy? Enjoyment for my readers, as well as a peek inside corporate America and working of the insurance industry and politics.

Books-And-Authors.net:  What’s Next?

Books-And-Authors.net:  What was the last book you read?

Steve Jaffe: Extreme Measures by Vince Flynn

Books-And-Authors.net:  Do you have any hobbies? What are they? How do they enhance your writing?

Steve Jaffe:  My hobbies are writing, golf, travel and going on dates with my wife Nancy. All of these activities help me relax and gather ideas for my next great characters and plots.
